About Hilario de Sousa

I have just finished my PhD; my PhD thesis is a grammar of the Menggwa Dla language which is spoken on the border of West Papua and Papua New Guinea. All of my ancestors have been transient people, and my linguistic interests are rather ‘transient’ as well. My sociolinguistic interests include cross-border language politics, my morphosyntactic interests include interclausal-morphosyntax (e.g. switch-reference), and my phonological interests include autosegmental phonology (e.g. tones, segmental harmony).
