Professor Stephanie Fahey is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) of Monash University. Professor Fahey’s was most recently Director of the Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific and Acting Assistant Pro Vice-Chancellor (International – Asia Pacific) at the University of Sydney. Stephanie has been appointed to many influential government boards, non-governmental organisation boards and business councils including the Foreign Affairs Council, the National Boards of the Australia China Business Council, the Australia Korea Foundation and a subcommittee of the Prime Minister’s Science, Engineering and Innovation Committee which looks at Australia’s engagement with China and India. Professor Fahey is the founding and current Chair of WIISA.

Wendy McCarthy AO is the Chair of PLAN Australia (a child centred community development agency). She has worked with government, corporations and community based organisations in education, health, conservation and heritage, media, women’s affairs, public health and waste management. She has held national leadership roles in all of these areas. It is this eclectic combination that gives her a unique profile and network nationally and internationally. Wendy has represented Australia at conferences on women’s health and leadership, education, broadcasting, conservation and heritage and for four years was Chair of the Advisory Committee of WHO Kobe Centre, Japan. In 2005 she completed a decade as Chancellor of the University of Canberra and she was a founding member of the Australian Chancellors’ Conference. Wendy has published many articles and is the author of five books. Wendy McCarthy is a founding committee member of WIISA.

Geraldine Doogue is a profile television and radio presenter on life matters. Over the last 25 years Geraldine has carved out a reputation in all three areas of the media, print, television and radio, and is a Multi-Award winning journalist who has left her mark on programs such as “Four Corners” and “Nationwide”. Geraldine is now the host of ABC Radio National’s “Offspring” program. She hosts “Compass”, the ABC TV’s religious and social affairs program and she also contributes special reports on social change issues for national broadcast on ABC-TV’s “7.30pm Report”. Geraldine Doogue is a founding committee member of WIISA.
