Call me

13 August, 2007

The University's main campus telephone system is currently experiencing a large number of faults. This is due a fault in a major cable that feeds many telephone services to buildings across the Camperdown / Darlington Campus.

If your telephone service is faulty please contact the telephone fault
line on ext. 42053 or 9750-1080

Priceless.

Based on my observations, this is a common occurrence! The IT department at my old office had an online IT request and fault logging system. They were really keen that you used it:
"Hello, Helpdesk. Sharon speaking."
"Hi, Sharon. Got a problem. My PC won't boot up. Once I put my network password in, it hangs and needs to be restarted. Sometimes it hangs at the BIOS screen."
"Can you log that via the online system, please?"
I kid you not.
