As cool as they are, we have about 6-7 sitting around our house as "gifts" from my husband's job, with random airplane jet engines or entire airplanes or helicopters suspended inside. One chunk of crystal is nice, but many just collect dust and no one looks at them anymore.

That is very cool. But ~80 bucks is a bit heavy on the sauce, not to mention way over the pressie price limit for the family secret santa this year.
Maybe I can cite a need for a paperweight and stick it on the PI's grant...
