It's also interesting for someone who moved from another small European country to a big immigrant nation.
We have one Canadian in the lab, the rest are all first or second generation immigrants, and there are many parts of Toronto where the majority of the population isn't Canadian and doesn't speak English.
So yeah, many parallels...
The weather is kind of different though ;)
