So you spend months doing knockdowns and testing antibodies and optimizing the Western protocol::

and then your (very talented, admittedly) student comes along, does her first real-life Western with your antibody and protocol and it's bloody perfect.

There is no justice, there's only me.

Seriously, I'm very happy it worked first time for her.

You know, of course, that we are all standing on the achievements of others in our quest for that scientific breakthrough. At least this time we get to share the glory ;-)

I suppose this is the opposite of the "It's a great protocol in my hands" phenomenon? =D
