During the week I catch the train into work, walking to and from both stations. When I need to come in at the weekend I'll usually drive, because it's much faster and I don't have to worry about track work, the timetables being completely wonky, and hanging around at Redfern at odd times of the night/early morning. And when the Black Queen is away it's much easier to bundle the Pawns into the car.

On Saturday, I was a little later in than intended, and the carpark (free at weekends) down by the Cage was full: folks parked there to use the Sports Centre across the road.

I dropped into one of the 'University-owned vehicles' slots. Saturday, right? Only an hour and a half, right? The University sleeps, right?

Wrong.

I get a parking ticket for coming into work at the weekend. Utter bastards, the lot of you impecunious convicts.

The only bright side is that the western I came in to deal with actually worked, and told me that the IP works too. But I'm not working weekends here ever again.

Ah, nothing has changed I see. Those pretend-cops never sleep...

Finally I see a blot out there that is NOT edited!

Congrats, Black Knight

Heh, thanks.

I hate it when you see IPs with just that one band. You know damn well the rest of the blot is a mess, but you need to see it.

If only we all could share your "no weekend work" policy. Bench monkeys don't have the luxury of "weekends"... grumble mutter grumble

Get back to work, you!

I am certain that is a lovely blot.*

*Not certain at all

Sydney train timetables are a subgroup of what mathematicians call imaginary numbers.

Shackle draggers is my current favourite.

I have been using 'shackle-draggers' at any and every opportunity. Where's Audra when you need her?
