Sometimes, you just know that no good can come of something:

i would like to know if anyone uses human umbilical cord blood. I would like to know how to obtain it, ethics etc

This smells like a post from the SAB...?

Heh, no—not this time. Forwarded to internal list from outside the Cage.

I do this stuff. Getting a placenta and cord blood this week, as a matter of fact. I'm in the States, but I can answer questions if this person needs a referral/consultation.

There's a big (legitimate) biobanking facility right next door that does this routinely (as well as other things).

I, however, am not willing to refer your poster to them. ;)

About the Rat

Black Knight is interested in the interaction of science (as a day job and as a way of thinking) with his family, the wider community and literature. And tormenting students. Frequently polemical, sometimes serious, and hopefully always entertaining more
