ZZ Top—Day 27

27 November, 2008

It's all over.

I'm out of town for a week, so this place might be a little quiet. Be good!

ZZ Top—Day 24

24 November, 2008

Sorry for the dearth of entries around here lately. I'm off to London (again) on Thursday, so have been a bit distracted. This year I seem to be accruing a carbon footprint the size of Wales. I've decided, however, that I can sequester the carbon in my moustache:

Oh, and today's hint? Don't park in the Cage's 'University Vehicles Only' bays, even on a Saturday.

Who's that scruffy-looking git, then?

ZZ Top—Day 3

3 November, 2008

Absent-mindedly reached for the shaving oil getting out of the shower this morning. Remembered in time.

Third day

Woof.

Henry Gee—senior Nature editor, author, croc-wearer and all-round nice guy—

will donate Aus$1 to the Marconi Moustachios for each book he sells on Lulu.

Now you've no excuse.

ZZ Top—Day 0

31 October, 2008

Men's health. Apparently it's not talked about much. My own feeling is that health issues in general are not much talked about (with a couple of trendy exceptions): the comments when I talked about depression and cancer research are probably indicative that although people don't talk much about them, they really want to.

So I'm putting my money where my mouth is, and because I want to save on razorbladesalways wanted to be a Spitfire pilot Paully talked me into it, I've signed up for Movember. Starting tomorrow I will forego my daily face-scrape so that I can grow a bushy 'tache, in aid of (specifically) The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative.

Here's what I looked like this morning:

If you want to help (please, please do), you can donate by credit card or PayPal account. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

(I'm not sure how this works if you're not in Australia, but you're smart-looking people).

Make Paully, Garth and myself (The Marconi Moustachios) very happy, and help thousands of blokes like us.
