The 3-day worshop examined issues related to databases and statistical tools. It also introduced two prominent statistical softwares, Stata and SAS, and how these may be used to manage large-scale datasets for research.
The worskhop was organised by Willem Buijink, Christof Beuselinck and Phiip Joos from Tilburg university and it was specifically designed to train the INTACCT's PhD students from all partnering universities. You may view the workshop's program from Christof's personal web space.
Dr Demetris Christodoulou was invited to the workshop to deliver two lectures on Introduction to Stata and the Management of Financial Data, and Panel Data Methods for Financial Analysis. Other presenters included Irene Karamanou from the University of Cyprus, Paulo Alves from Lancaster University, Beatriz Garcia from Madrid University, Stuart McLeay from Bangor University, as well as from Christof Beuselinck and Phiip Joos from Tilburg University.
