The manual Introduction to Stata and the Management of Financial Data is specifically designed to run on firm-year financial datasets with basic accounting and stock market variables. It assumes no knowledge of Stata and begins with a general introduction to the software. It then provides a well-thorough description of most data management commands within Stata with problem solving illustrations for financial analysis questions.
This is the first of a series of manuals that will be released in the future, and it is distributed free of charge together with the five accompanying financial datasets.
All you need to do is go to http://meafa.econ.usyd.edu.au/stata.html and fill-in the designated request form.
