The Faculty of Economics and Business Statistics continues to support MEAFA, under the funding scheme of Research Group Support, 2007.

The Faculty has awarded the sum of $25,000 towards the costs of MEAFA for 2008. Specifically, the award is provided for assisting with the funding of the following affairs:

(1) Hosting a Research Training Workshop on Data Management Techniques and Modern Estimation Procedures in Financial Analysis using Stata®, with an Emphasis on Panel Data and Time-Series Analyses, 23-25 July 2008.

(2) Hosting the Second Meeting on MEAFA, 29-30 Jan 2009.

(3) Hiring Bruno Dore Rodrigues for working with Maxwell Stevenson, Richard Gerlach and Maurice Peat on a joint research project.

(4) Hiring a Research Assistant to assist with the preparation of an ARC grant.
