Free Dance events at the Art Gallery of NSW, featuring Agatha Snape- Gothe an Honours graduate from the Department of Performance Studies.

On September 1st at 4pm, visual artist Agatha Gothe-Snape will perform a movement score written by Melbourne-based choreographer Brooke Stamp live in the Gallery. The score draws on a vocabulary of ordinary gestures, recalling aspects of minimalist choreography in the 1960s.
More info at Art Gallery of NSW.

The day before on August 31st at 3pm, the choreographer Brooke Stamp is offering a two-hour dance workshop that will take participants through some of the processes and thinking behind her practice and the performance.

Both these events are free and open to all, though bookings are required for the workshop.

Agatha Gothe-Snape completed her Honours degree in Performance Studies back in 2002.

The exhibition these events relate to (called Taking Form) is particularly interesting as the participating artists have created works responding to movement and certain dance practices.
