The University of Sydney Library is running a trial of 'Primary Sources in Counseling and Psychology', it is available from our Databases on Trial page.
It contains transcripts of psychotherapy sessions, first-person accounts of dealing with mental illness and also includes reference handbooks and textbook case studies.

International Political Science Abstracts (IPSA), published by the International Political Science Association, includes current indexing and abstracts for many of the world's leading journals in political science. This database contains records from almost 900 journals published from 1989 to the present. Approximately 8,000 new records are added to the database each year. This database trial ends on the 17th of September 2007.
Asia-Studies Full-text Online is a comprehensive database for research on the Asia-Pacific region. The database brings together full-text reports covering over 50 countries on many governmental, economic, and social issues. Subjects covered include, trade, finance environment, human resources development, media, best practices in government, resources, tourism, education and women's studies. Annual statstistical overviews are also included from the database.
The Library is always interested in gaining feedback from researchers on new resources, that have the potential to faciltate research in the University. Two databases are currently on trial, both of value to social research. One is a collection of databases for African Studies African Studies Africa-Wide: NiPAD (Incorporating South African Studies and African Studies), the other Mass Observation Online relates to British Social History from 1937-1972
OECD, this little abbreviation packs a big punch when mentioned in the press or by politicians. Earlier this year OECD data for Higher Education was particularly popular. Need to find this data? You could google OECD but what you find won’t always be free.
The Library subscribes to SourceOECD, an invaluable source for social researchers.
What is SourceOECD? SourceOECD describes itself as an online Library Statistical Databases, Books and Periodicals. These publications reflect the activities and research of the OECD.
This database is the first purchased by the Library dealing specifically with media and communications. Communication & Mass Media Complete (CMMC Complete) provides access to mass media research including journalism, public relations, language and communications, publishing and new communications technologies. The database has strong coverage of the social, political and ethical dimensions of media and communications.
