« To change or not to change, that is the question… | Main | You can’t get me I’m part of the Union »

I don’t think I have ever known Sydney as hot as it is today (New Years Day). It can get pretty warm at Uni at the start of first semester and at the end of second semester, so here are my top ten places to escape the heat at uni!!

Well, lets do dot point. Might be exciting, nice change up too:

1. Go To Class- Excellent idea as lots of rooms are air-conditioned or have fans, so they will be nice and cool. Hey you should be learning at uni anywho!!!
2. Have a Swim- Having a swim at either the Sports and Aquatic centre or the pool in Victoria Park, it’s a top way to cool down. I actually bought new swimmers, goggles and a sports towel (you know, one of those ones that looks like a shammy and dries you the same way!) to go swimming during breaks at uni last year, still yet to use them, but it’s a tops ideas anywho.
3. Study in the Library- Its really nice and cool too, so find a nice little spot and read on (or catch up) on your reading for your class.
4. Have a drink at Manning- Either Alcoholic or Non Alcoholic (Alcoholic after class finishes…), great way to cool down, you will even look cool doing it too! Manning is air-conditioned too, good place to chill (hahahaha, that’s a terrible line)
5. Head down to the Beach- There are buses that leave from close to campus that take you down to Bondi and Coogee, so why not pop down to the beach after class. It will be really refreshing and will change up the day quite nicely!
6. Think cold thoughts- If you don’t think about how hot it is, then hopefully it wont bother you as much (sorry, lame idea)
7. Have some fruit salad at Ralph’s- Another cool (hehehe, I cant help it) place to cool down. If you get out of the heat and have a nice fruit salad or the like you will cool down, and its fun to go down there anywho.
8. Visit the Water fountain in the Education Building- I don’t know how they do it, but that water is cold, Alaska Cold!
9. Visit a Museums- We have quite a few different museums on campus, so why not take the time out and check them out. They’re air-conditioned too, and again all the stuff is cool, so they’re great places to go!
10. Watch a movie at Broadway- after class has finishes, why not wander down to Broadway to catch a movie. The Cinemas are always cold, so they’re a great place to escape the heat.

Well, there are my ideas. I worked this morning, then I was going to go to the beach or a mates pool, but its just too hot! Hope your not melting, drink lots of water, make sure you put back what’s been taken out!!

Hope you had fun on NYE too. I decided to work at my old job, had a better view of the fireworks that way!!! Well, stay cool (sorry, I was saying goodbye, had to include it)
