What's SWOT???

3 January, 2006

Let's face it - anyone who says they aren't scared about going to uni is lying. Puh-lease: nobody is that confident! Uni is a big place, I know I was more than a little anxious when I enrolled! But the great thing about Sydney is that we have this nifty little program called SWOT (Sydney Welcome Orientation and Transition) from the 27th of February to the 3rd of March.

The program is designed just for you guys, who have left school and are ready to start life anew at Sydney. First of all, it's an easy way to get to know the campus. It's also a treasure-trove of VII (Very Important Information) that you will be grateful for, believe me. But, I think the best thing about SWOT is that you can meet heaps of people, without even going to a class at uni! That means - bonus- you'll have a whole new bunch of friends before you step into that Chemistry Lab. Ta-da!

SWOT involves faculty welcomes, talks on casual employment and other student services, library workshops and even essay-writing lectures. For the complete timetable, go to http://www.swot.usyd.edu.au/timetable.shtml
