Yes, I'm in another show. Who's surprised? Only those who are surprised easily, like people who jump when mail comes through the mailbox in the door whilst they are watching re-runs of their favourite tv show (this happened to me yesterday).

We hold these truths to be self evident:

1) I am in the Arts revue
2) It is going to be a fantastic show
3) You should all come and see it

The Arts revue is an all-singing, all dancing (except when we aren't singing or dancing) comedy extravaganza. This year the title of the revue is 'The Complete History of Everything that Ever happened. Ever. On Ice. On Fire.' It’s the only show I know of where the Wright brothers share stage space with Leonardo DaVinci and his amazing ornithopter (a kind of winged bike - not one of his greatest inventions).

The show pokes the comedy stick at everything from the big bang to Armageddon, including God and Eve, Jesus' brother, Cleopatra, the French revolution, the French in general, Mary and Percy Shelly, Freud and Harriet the Spy (that great 20th century mover and shaker).

With little under a week until we go on, we are frantically rehearsing to make sure our show lives up to the standard of previous Arts revues. Sydney University has a proud tradition of revue seasons which goes back decades, and these shows have an equally proud tradition of ripping off Disney tunes and inserting new lyrics (particularly 'Be my Guest’). One of the best things about this year's Arts revue is that it is all completely original student-written scripts and music, performed with gusto by Arts students who have nothing better to do than rehearse a lot.

I kid. I kid because I love.

So, come along and laugh at those moments in history where things just don't add up, or are just plain stupid. The show is on the 13th-16th of September at the Seymour centre from 8pm. Tickets can be bought through the union's ACCESS office or on 1800 013 201.

make sure you come along for a laugh and a sing-along...
provided you know the words first. which you won't.

What do you get when you put Shirley Temple, a bean and a protein shake in a blender?

The poster boy for Sydney uni- Timmy!... What wonderful hair

Speaking of wonderful, the Arts Revue is gunna be HUGE! Come one, come all!

The Arts Revue is an ideal venue for
i)That awkward upcoming first date- a couple that laughs together stays together
ii)A night out with the parents. They feel like they are having a "uni experience" with their little one and you get to see x-rated playschool skits
iii)Meeting your life partner.

All I can say is Wow! Or maybe Tops! Or maybe Whoa! I loved the show, and after seeing Engo, Law and Med before Arts, I can say for certain that this has reinvented the wheel, and made it funny!! Everyone get along to this! Whoa, Wow and Tops again!

This show is possibly the best thing to happen since sliced bread...I have come to the show every night since openning it's that good! Tonight will be the 3rd night in a row...that's dedication. A big shout out to the totally amazing and talented cast, crew, producers and directors! You guys are tres cool.

P.S: I have absolutely no affiliation to the show whatsoever. Of course, I do have my preferred scenes...sibling rivalry, mutiny bear, jack the ripper, cluedo and caveman are favourites. Didn't get those little references? Well then come see the damn show and maybe you will!

This show totaly kicks. You should all totaly come and see it.
