Having a birthday here is awesome! Not only was the actual day, almost 2 days (Yay for time difference), but we celebrated it in 3 different countries! Of course, there was the actual day of the birthday – so multicultural – I think we worked out that about 15 countries were represented by the people there!!! – but we also decided to have a party weekend! So, we’re in Europe, it’s my 21st birthday, looking for a party destination, so where do we go??? Amsterdam of course!!!!!
It was so much fun! About four of us had had our birthdays in the last few weeks, so 10 of us jumped on an overnight train to the Dam to meet up with a few others and have a weekend of fun!
It was hilarious actually – due to a train accident we missed our train back to Denmark (should’ve heard the professor when I tried to explain I couldn’t due my presentation because I was stuck in Amsterdam!!!! haha). So, taking advantage of just how close everything is here, we headed to Belgium for a day! So, that was technically a birthday in Aus, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium! Woo! hahaha
