Insects, super conductors, latex bouncy balls, Quidditch, food DNA and Game of Thrones... these are just some of the fun hands-on activities that will open your mind at Open Day this Saturday.

At Sydney Uni, we pride ourselves on an education that is both theoretical and practical. Open Day will not only provide you info about potential courses, you'll also get a taste of university life first-hand.

Some of the highlights include:
- extracting DNA from your favourite foods
- meeting clever robots
- watching demonstrations of magnets, super conductors and a solar telescope
- checking out all-terrain vehicles
- playing with the latest touch-screen technology
- arguably the most exciting of all: creating a map of Westoros from Game of Thrones with a 3D printer!

There will also be a marvellous array of entertainment from our clubs and societies. As part of Australia’s most vibrant student life, you can participate in over 200 clubs and societies, catering for diverse interests in sport, creative arts, hobbies, cultural, humanitarian and recreational activities. From chocolate, bushwalking, period drama, anime, circus to taekwondo, student radio, Rotoract, fine art and dancing, come along and have a go! The Quidditch Society will also be practicing and my sources inform me that there may or may not be a gold-painted human, running around as the Golden Snitch.

Who knows… you might discover a new passion or interest that you never knew about! See you at Open Day.
