About Amelia Schmidt (Arts (Advanced), Third Year)
Arts Student/Undercover Crimefighter/Space Detective
I'm Amelia (unlike some other bloggers, my name is actually my name) and I am in the third year of a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) degree, majoring in Art History (probably Film Studies actually) and English. My parents are a chemistry teacher and a financial advisor, so you can tell that I turned out just how they wanted.
I consider myself a geek and a nerd, and probably also a snob - I conscientiously do all my readings, I am overly vocal in class and I like to talk about things I learn at bars. I like to bring books to bars. Sometimes I write people off as potential friends because they seem uneducated. Sue me.
OK this is all a bit of an exaggeration - I am actually just a normal student trying to be a good student. I plan to do Honours and am hoping for some top marks to aid me in that quest. I've recently moved out of the family home to Erskineville for six months and am testing whether that is going to benefit my studies or not.
Other trivia: I write and am part of the Writers' Society. I like cats, probably to an absurd extent. I ride/rode (haha, speeding fines) a Vespa motor scooter. Now I ride a bicycle. Such is life. I am bad with money. I do private English tutoring for my income. I am very busy.
