About Lauren (first year graduate, research assistant)

With the haplessness of Bridget Jones and hopes of becoming Sydney's Carrie Bradshaw, Sydney Uni is proud to present...Lauren!

Lauren is a recent graduand of the University of Sydney. For four years she shuttled back and forth from the far reaches of her family's home to the dazzling lawns of the Camperdown campus to study History. She now holds the record for 'Most Attempts to Run Down the Stairs Two at a Time' at Redfern Station, to avoid missing the once-hourly trains.

Lauren now lives in East Redfern/South Surry Hills/West Darlinghurst/Moore Park Heights/North Waterloo. The postcode jury is still out, but Lauren is clinging to a semblance of glamour by constantly crowing, 'It's sooooo close to bills!'

Once, Lauren was watching a VH1 countdown of the '50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever.' She was incredibly surprised to learn that some of her favourite songs were amongst this top fifty. What's so bad about 'Sussudio'?

Lauren once maintained that chickens had four legs. She also told her flatmate (quite seriously) that Herman Hesse was the Nazi Trade Minister.

At high school, she was a member of an all-girl pop sensation. The other members of the band have chosen not to comment.

Lauren's bizarre foibles and constant fumbles make for interesting reading, but often incur the wrath of those around her. In an acrostic poem her friends once wrote, the 'E' in her name stood for "embarrassing."
