I am desperately seeking Deutschlandspiel .

A few things to comment on today.

First I am looking very hard for a subtitled version of a German documentary called Deutschlandspiel (German Game) made in 2000. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0260853/ This is the IMDB link. I saw it on SBS a few years ago and found it fascinating, but lacked the wit to record it, on the assumption it would be available. Wrong. It recounts German reunification. berlin_wall_1.jpgThough the IMDB link shows it as unavailable in Germany, it is in fact available in German from Amazon.de. But my German is not up to it. So if anyone did record it and wants to make it available to me, please let me know. If you are curious about my interest I suggest you read my review on the IMDB as above. I seem to have been the only one to comment!

I went searching for a picture of the Trabant manufactured in East Germany and found this image: trabant.jpg

Two, a student very kindly nominated me for a Faculty Teaching Award. Thank you. I am terribly pleased someone took the time and trouble to do so, and to make a coherent statement. I am not eligible, so I will not be a candidate this time. I got one last year.
